Black Star Winery
 
​The Black Star Building and "The Corner" is a staple in the Alexandria Community. From the 1950's - 1970's Pure Oil Gas Station occupied this corner with a service station and auto repair garage. 1980's and 1990's would be the home to Bob Brown and his Brown Hardware. Up until 2018 Wood Masters would use this building to refinish and bring antique furniture back to life.

In 2023, we thought it needed to be a place to bring the community back together and for everyone to get to know each other again. November 2023, a liquor option was placed on the ballot to see if the Village People would like a Winery in town.  Remember, the village has been "Dry" since prohibition ended in 1933. It would be over 90 years since liquor has been served anywhere in town. It passed by over 75%! Join us on our adventure!
